Md Al Amin is an Assistant Professor (currently on study leave) of Marketing at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj, Bangladesh. He also serves as a thesis supervisor for MSC (marketing) students at Glasgow Caledonian University, London Campus, UK. Al Amin is pursuing a PhD at the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), UK. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree from the Department of Marketing at the University of Dhaka and received both his BBA and MBA from the same institution. His research interests include service robots, Artificial Intelligence, Sustainable Customer Journey, Machine Learning, Consumer Technology Adoption Behavior, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. Over his eight-year teaching experience across various esteemed universities, including positions at Glasgow Caledonian University, London Campus, UK; Daffodil International University, Bangladesh; and BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, Bangladesh, Al Amin has refined his teaching skills at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Md Al Amin's contributions to academia are reflected in his publications in renowned journals such as Environment, Development and Sustainability, Management of Environmental Quality, Journal of Financial Services Marketing, Journal of Food Products Marketing, and Journal of Global Marketing, among others. Additionally, he actively engages with the academic community through his role as a reviewer for esteemed journals and conferences such as Journal of Business Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Society and Business Review, and the British Academy of Management (BAM) Conference, among others. .
Md Al Amin has received various awards and research grants as a principal investigator for multiple research projects. He secured various scholarships and bursary including the Queen Mary University of London Fully Funded Doctoral Scholarship, a bursary for the Doctoral Colloquium at the Academy of Marketing Conference 2024, the Dhaka University Scholarship for his MBA results, and government scholarships for his SSC and HSC examinations. Additionally, his conceptual paper was awarded "Runner-Up" in the American Marketing Science (AMS) Review/Sheth Foundation Doctoral Competition for Conceptual Articles (DoCCA). He is also a student member of the British Academy of Management and the Ethics Committee of the School of Business and Management at QMUL. .
Moreover, he has actively contributed as a team member to the MELBU (More Entrepreneurial Life in Bangladeshi Universities) project, a transnational cooperation initiative funded by Erasmus+ and the European Union. This project aims to promote entrepreneurial activities among university students in the southern region of Bangladesh, involving collaboration between Bangladesh, Germany, and Poland.
