Short Biography

  • Md. Lawshan Habib is currently working as an assistant professor at the department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj-8100, Bangladesh. His expertise is in the synthesis of carbon-based nanostructured materials and polymers, particularly the implementation of such materials in emerging material engineering applications.
    He has received the BSc and MS degree in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Lawshan has developed his research career through his MS studies and over four years of teaching and research experience. Since receiving his MS degree in 2015, he has been the recipient of a competitive national fellowship named the National Science and Technology (NST) fellowship. After joining the BSMRSTU in December 2017, he has received a special research allocation from the University Grants Commission (UGC). He has co-authored three journal publications and two book chapters, many of which appeared in high-ranking journals in the field, e.g., ChemistrySelect, Materials Science, and Springer. His works have been cited eight times. Nanomaterials, polymer nanocomposites, graphene-based composites, and electromechanical actuators based on inherently conducting polymers and/or carbon nanotubes are among his research interests.

  • "Preparation of Polyethersulfone-Based Nanocomposite Membrane Incorporated with Polyaniline Modified Graphene Oxide Nanoparticles for the Removal of Heavy Metal from Water."

  • Nanomaterials, Polymer nanocomposites, Graphene-based Composites, and Electromechanical Actuators based on Inherently Conducting Polymers and/or Carbon Nanotubes.
