A prominent department at Bangabandhu SheikhMujibur Rahman Science and Technology University is the Department of Botany.Among the biological sciences or life sciences, this is one of the oldestfields of study. The branch offers top-notch research and instructionalactivities in these fields by fusing the fields of microbiology, plant sciences,agronomy, soil sciences, environmental sciences, and molecular sciences. Thedepartment also prioritized leadership, humanitarianism, career growth, socialjustice, and patriotism. In 2019, the Department of Botany was established. Thedepartment has been providing BSc Honours and Masters Degrees. We investigatethe range and variety of life on Earth at many scales and with a growing numberof interdisciplinary approaches. It seeks to develop high-caliber research andwill keep influencing and forming the course of global policy and research inplant science. In addition, we will prepare our students to work as futurebotanists and address global issues including pandemics, the effects of climatechange, biodiversity concerns, and feeding a growing population. The Departmentof Botany is committed to improving the world via research and teaching that isfounded on honesty, originality, and integrity. Therefore, we make an effort toexhibit these qualities in the department's conduct and environment, not onlyat BSMRSTU but also at conferences and beyond the classroom. We want theDepartment of Botany to be a desirable place to work, not just because of ourexcellent research, but also because of our caring and friendly community. Alldepartment personnel, including senior academics, undergraduate students,graduates, staff, and cleaners, should be accorded equal respect. This meansthat everyone must respect each and every one of their coworkers, speak to themin a kind manner, and keep in mind their workload and any obligations they mayhave outside of work.
